Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiac ICU night shift position requiring a WI or compact RN license and recent high-acuity cardiac PICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a 24-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU (CICU) unit caring for neonates, infants, and adult congenital heart patients
• Primary work setting is a hospital environment with 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
• Requires floating to NICU and PICU units as needed
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Utilizes Epic EMR system
• RNs coordinate and manage care for pediatric cardiac and cardiovascular surgery patients
• Patient population includes those with open heart procedures, transplants, and open chests
• Skills required in critical thinking, hemodynamic monitoring, and care for patients with respiratory failure
• Professional scrubs of any color permitted
• Dress code allows a single small nose stud and standard ear piercings

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and PALS certifications required; ACLS preferred
• ASN or BSN required; BSN preferred
• Minimum 12-18 months high-acuity cardiac PICU experience required
• Level I Trauma experience highly preferred
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
