Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 3+ years of experience, strong cardiac study skills, and proficiency with SPECT/CT and Epic charting.

Responsibilities

• Single technologist department performing general nuclear medicine studies
• Procedures include bone scans, renal, HIDA, gastric emptying, thyroid, lymph node, parathyroid, and a strong emphasis on cardiac studies
• Uses Siemens Symbia Intevo Excel SPECT/CT and Philips iSite PACS
• Requires knowledge and independent operation of SPECT/CT
• Day shifts starting at 7:00 AM, 8-hour shifts, with occasional flexibility
• No weekend or holiday shifts
• May be placed on call during low census with a minimum 2-hour call back
• Uses Epic EMR and Philips iSite PACS
• Must be fully functional from day one with minimal orientation
• Compliance with masking policy is mandatory for those declining flu or COVID vaccination
• First-time travelers will not be provided with extended orientation
• Holiday shifts are not required as the unit is closed
• Scrub color or dress code not specified

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• AHA BLS certification required
• ARRT (N) or CNMT certification required
• Demonstrated experience with Siemens SPECT/CT and cardiac studies strongly preferred
• Experience with Epic and Philips iSite PACS required
• Must be able to work independently in a single-employee department
• License required if applicable
