Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pre-Op position in outpatient surgery with CA licensure and experience caring for both pediatric and adult patients.

Responsibilities

• Work in an outpatient surgery/same day care setting
• Care for both pediatric and adult patient populations
• Shifts are 12-hour AM shifts (0600-1800)
• Call required one weekend per month
• Float as needed within skillset to GI and PACU
• Occasional phlebotomy duties required
• Telemetry interpretation required
• Meditech is used for documentation; experience preferred but on-site training provided
• Duties include assisting with preoperative patient care and occasional phlebotomy
• Must be willing to float to GI and PACU units as needed based on census
• Training provided for floats to PACU if needed
• Weekend call rotation is required once per month
• Scrub or dress code details will be provided during orientation
• Candidates who have worked at Tenet facilities may be subject to eligibility verification

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Experience with telemetry interpretation required
• Ability to provide care for both pediatric and adult populations
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required; medical or religious exceptions accepted
