Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a current CA license, BLS, ACLS, and Epic experience for a day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU of a hospital setting
• Three 12-hour day shifts per week, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Required to work every other Saturday and Sunday, plus holidays as needed
• Uses Epic for electronic medical records
• Responsible for assessment, coordination, and evaluation of nursing care for ICU patients
• Care includes direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care in an acute setting
• Collaborates closely with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
• RTO approval granted for one holiday only
• Must be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing

Requirements

• Active CA RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Epic charting experience required
• A minimum of 2 years ICU RN experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• PALS and TNCC required within 180 days of hire
• NIHSS required within 90 days of hire
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Return staff must have at least a 1-year break before returning as a traveler
