Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with SD licensure and BLS certification for an 8-hour day shift Physical Therapy assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Physical Therapy department with patient populations varying by need, including ortho, spine, neuro, and sports medicine cases
• Utilize equipment such as dry needling, blood flow restriction, AlterG, pool, focused shockwave, and cupping
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday schedule with no weekend rotation or on-call requirements
• EPIC used for charting; EMR experience preferred
• No floating to other units required
• Orientation provided for 5-7 days
• Supported by rehab supervisors within the department
• Scrub colors required: pewter, dark grey, or granite
• Free parking available at the facility
• No holiday coverage expected
• Maximum of 7 days time off; additional requests require supervisor approval
• 100 mile radius rule in effect; no local travelers allowed
• Facility is known as traveler-friendly and open to renewals

Requirements

• Current South Dakota Physical Therapy license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required
• Degree in Physical Therapy required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience accepted; first-time travelers considered based on prior experience or setting
• Experience with relevant equipment and charting system preferred
