Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-risk Labor & Delivery night position in California, requiring 2 years of OB experience and Epic proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute hospital Labor & Delivery unit caring for high-risk patients
- Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 7:30, working three 12-hour shifts per week
- Weekend rotation is required, with no on-call responsibilities
- Assignment may require floating to other locations if census is low
- Utilizes Epic for charting and documentation
- Responsibilities include assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of holistic nursing care for labor and delivery patients
- Collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams is essential
- All certifications must be in hand at the time of consideration and must be AHA accredited
- Training modules will be completed during orientation via e-learning
- Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of accepting the offer
- Only one holiday off will be approved during the contract period
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for a travel contract
- Previous employees must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
- Locals are accepted at a local rate
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
- BLS (AHA), ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years OB nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass on-site EKG testing with a score of at least 80%
