Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring a GA or compact license and at least 18 months of nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital
- Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts
- Patient population includes post-surgical adults recovering from anesthesia
- No on-call responsibilities
- Provide care and monitoring to patients post-anesthesia in a fast-paced environment
- Strict rules for requested time off: maximum of 5 days if not near a holiday, 3 days if near a holiday, and only one holiday request is allowed
- Several days of time off during the holidays will not be approved; requests must be spread out
- Returning travelers should note specific eligibility requirements
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license in hand
- Minimum of 18 months RN experience required
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility as local candidates are not permitted
- Former staff must have been separated for 1 year from the health system and 18 months from the facility to be eligible
