Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring a GA or compact license and at least 18 months of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital
Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts
Patient population includes post-surgical adults recovering from anesthesia
No on-call responsibilities
Provide care and monitoring to patients post-anesthesia in a fast-paced environment
Strict rules for requested time off: maximum of 5 days if not near a holiday, 3 days if near a holiday, and only one holiday request is allowed
Several days of time off during the holidays will not be approved; requests must be spread out
Returning travelers should note specific eligibility requirements

Requirements

Active GA or compact RN license in hand
Minimum of 18 months RN experience required
Must live more than 50 miles from the facility as local candidates are not permitted
Former staff must have been separated for 1 year from the health system and 18 months from the facility to be eligible
