Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a critical need Labor & Delivery position in California requiring current CA RN licensure and recent L&D experience.
Responsibilities
- Position based in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts
- 13-week contract assignment
- Labor and delivery patient population, with high-risk cases preferred
- Uses Epic EMR
- Provide care for laboring women and manage both routine and high-risk deliveries
- Orientation and support provided as per hospital standards
- Local and travel candidates are both eligible at the same rate
- Adherence to facility dress code required
- Assignment limited to two years total engagement with this health system before a mandatory 90-day break is required
Requirements
- Active, unencumbered CA RN license at time of consideration
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum 1 year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent Labor & Delivery experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
- Preferred: Over 5 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience (within last 2 years)
- Preferred: 1 year of high-risk Labor & Delivery experience within last 2 years
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Last 4 digits of SSN and DOB required for consideration
