Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a critical need Labor & Delivery position in California requiring current CA RN licensure and recent L&D experience.

Responsibilities

Position based in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts
13-week contract assignment
Labor and delivery patient population, with high-risk cases preferred
Uses Epic EMR
Provide care for laboring women and manage both routine and high-risk deliveries
Orientation and support provided as per hospital standards
Local and travel candidates are both eligible at the same rate
Adherence to facility dress code required
Assignment limited to two years total engagement with this health system before a mandatory 90-day break is required

Requirements

Active, unencumbered CA RN license at time of consideration
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Minimum 1 year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent Labor & Delivery experience
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Current Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
Preferred: Over 5 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience (within last 2 years)
Preferred: 1 year of high-risk Labor & Delivery experience within last 2 years
Epic EMR experience preferred
Last 4 digits of SSN and DOB required for consideration
