Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with an active CA RN license and recent L&D experience for a night shift contract.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor & Delivery department of a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Care for both routine and high-risk obstetrical patient populations
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Responsibilities include providing care to laboring mothers and high-risk OB patients
• Must have active licenses and certifications; pending applications are not accepted
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Compliance with vaccination requirements may be necessary
• Travelers may not work more than 2 years within the health system without a 90-day break

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 1 year of recent (within past 3 years) full-time L&D experience
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
• Preferred: 5+ years recent Labor & Delivery experience within the last 2 years
• Preferred: 1 year high-risk L&D experience within the past 2 years
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration
