Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift assignment requiring an active NC or compact license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Position based in a hospital Med/Surg unit
• Second floor unit with general medical-surgical patient population
• Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:00am
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Responsible for coordinating and delivering clinical nursing care using the nursing process
• Role includes patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Engages in interdisciplinary care discussions and continuity of care communication
• Provides patient and family education based on learning needs and readiness
• Performs bedside point of care testing as required
• Participates in unit goals, professional growth activities, and team collaboration
• Promotes a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment for patients and staff

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Minimum of one year recent nursing experience
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school
