Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with a MO or compact license and advanced certifications for flexible 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department setting in a hospital environment
• Patient population includes a variety of emergency cases
• Flexible schedule with day, mid, or night shifts (3x12s: 6am–6:30pm, 11am–11pm or 12pm–12am, or 6pm–6:30am)
• Potential floating to other units based on census and acuity
• Preference for Allscripts/Sunrise EMR experience, but not required
• Responsibilities include providing emergency care across a diverse patient population
• Orientation typically lasts 3-4 days and is usually held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
• First day drug screen is required and clearance is needed prior to starting on the unit
• Facility is smoke free
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required
• No local travelers accepted within a 60 mile radius

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years Emergency Department RN experience required
• Must live outside a 60 mile radius from the facility
• Must be able to care for COVID patients
• Drug and alcohol screening required prior to and during orientation
