Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN with an active IL license and recent acute care ED experience for a night shift position.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
• Every other weekend is required
• Mandatory floating to other units and facilities within 50 miles as needed
• Charting is completed using Cerner EMR
• No block scheduling is permitted
• Role includes providing nursing care to patients in a high-acuity, fast-paced trauma setting
• May be assigned outside of primary competency area with a team-based model in place
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Navy blue scrubs required and not provided
• No more than 5 days RTO are permitted per contract, with no more than 2 consecutive days or any RTO on weekends or around holidays

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience in the Emergency Department
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility
• COVID vaccine required; booster is not required
• Must complete required lab work within 72 hours of offer acceptance
