Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a teaching hospital in a Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit requiring BLS, ARRT, and active NJ licensure.
Responsibilities
- Work in a teaching hospital setting within a Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit
- Day shifts, 4x10 hours, from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- Manage 5-10 cases per day involving interventional body and neuro procedures, endovascular and abdominal interventions, and genitourinary interventions
- On-call required for up to 3 nights within a seven day period from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend and winter holiday coverage required as applicable
- Uses specialized equipment including sterile procedure and equipment set up, closure devices, EKOS, GE and Phillips Angio Suites
- Charting through EPIC: Radiant and Q-site
- Responsibilities include performing interventional body and neuroprocedures, endovascular interventions, and equipment set up
- First time travelers will be considered for this position
- Hospital provides scrubs
- Returning employees must have been separated from the facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
- Open or active background or license hits are not accepted
- Holiday coverage is required for one of the two winter holidays
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' recent interventional radiology experience
- Active NJ or Compact license required
- BLS and ARRT certifications required
- Teaching hospital experience required; trauma level I or II experience preferred
- Ability to scrub and circulate for a variety of interventional procedures
- Proficiency with sterile technique and specialized interventional radiology equipment
- License required if applicable
