Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced Cath Lab RN with a NJ or compact license, STEMI on-call experience, and proficiency with Epic EMR.

Responsibilities

• Work in the hospital's Cardiac Catheterization Lab
• Patient population spans from pediatric to geriatric cardiac patients
• Day shift schedule: four days per week, 9.5 hour shifts from 7AM to 5PM
• STEMI on-call responsibilities are required
• Use of Epic charting system; Epic experience required
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required
• Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative assessment and education for cardiac cath lab patients
• Demonstrate competency in emergency equipment and procedures as well as patient safety protocols
• Complete accurate and thorough clinical documentation per department guidelines
• Participate as an integral part of the perioperative team, prioritizing patient care based on continuously changing needs
• Scrub attire or dress code as per department policy
• Travelers may be considered for assignments up to one year with a mandatory break before returning

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR is required
• Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility (no local candidates accepted)
