Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab RN with OR licensure and prior Cath Lab experience for a day shift assignment with required weekday and weekend call.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Cath Lab of a short-term acute care teaching hospital
- 1:1 nurse to patient ratio in the Cath Lab
- Requires floating to other units and facilities within the state as needed
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm
- On-call required during weekdays and weekends
- Epic EMR system is used and experience is required
- Hospital provides required scrubs for the Cath Lab
- Responsibilities include caring for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures
- Travelers may be floated to multiple facilities including Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent
- Hotel accommodations and additional mileage reimbursement provided when floating to Seaside for consecutive shifts
- Minimal to no requested time off is permitted; limited RTO must be discussed at submission
- First time travelers are welcome to apply
- No weekend shift coverage is required, but on-call duties remain
- Free parking is available on site
Requirements
- Active OR RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Cath Lab RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience is required
- Must have a vehicle for assignment-related travel
- Must be able to float to other facilities as needed
- SSN and DOB must be provided for consideration
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- COVID and flu vaccination documentation required
- Former perm staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
