Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with ARRT and BLS for a pediatric hospital assignment, requiring at least 1 year of experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a pediatric hospital within the X-Ray department
- Assignment involves pediatric patient population, including exposure to trauma cases
- 3x12 hour day shifts, Tuesday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with required holiday rotation
- First week consists of weekday day shift orientation, followed by set schedule
- On-call rotation required with 1-hour response time; call shifts primarily on weekends but may occur any day as needed
- Floating required to other pediatric imaging locations within the hospital or same campus for critical coverage
- Experience with C-arm required and O-arm experience preferred; additional training available for both
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Radiation badge must be provided by the agency; not supplied by facility
- Role involves performing diagnostic X-rays primarily on pediatric patients, including trauma imaging as needed
- Participation in a multidisciplinary team within a Level 1 trauma, teaching, and Magnet-designated facility
- Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, especially June through November
- Teal top and black bottoms required for scrub color
- Epic experience preferred but not required
- All RTO must be requested at time of application and approval based on facility needs
- Returning travelers must have separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Parking pass available for nights and weekends for a one-time fee
- Pre-start modules must be completed
Requirements
- Active ARRT (R) certification and current BLS required
- SCRQSA (R) accepted
- Minimum 1 year of X-Ray Tech experience required
- OR and C-arm experience required
- Trauma and pediatric imaging experience preferred
- O-arm experience preferred, training provided
- South Carolina license must be in hand prior to start; pending not accepted at start
- AHA certifications only
- Must be able to provide Social Security card and driver's license for consideration
- 60-mile radius rule applies; locals accepted at reduced rate
- License required if applicable
