Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with a minimum of 2 years’ MRI experience, current ARRT certification, and strong Epic EMR skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care setting in the MRI department
• Department includes two scanners at the main hospital and three outpatient clinics
• Evening shift, Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• Perform brain, neck, spine, chest, abdominal, pelvic, breast, cardiac, prostate, and musculoskeletal imaging, including imaging patients with implanted devices
• Average of 28 scans or studies performed per day
• Use GE 1.5T and 3T MRI systems at the hospital and Philips and Hitachi equipment at outpatient clinics
• Epic and Sectra PACS charting systems are used
• Floating to other areas as needed based on operational requirements
• Standby and holiday rotation required
• Duties include performing a wide variety of MRI procedures and imaging studies, including advanced and specialized imaging
• Radiology aides and in-house radiologists provide team support
• Personal scrubs required; hospital scrubs provided to OR staff only
• Department-specific orientation and N95 fit testing are required
• Must participate in the standby and holiday scheduling rotations
• Experience with cardiac, breast, and breast biopsy MRI is encouraged but not required
• Effective July 24, 2025, all MRI clinicians must have the WA Radiologic Technologist license with MRI designation if relevant
• License required if applicable

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an MRI Technologist
• Active ARRT certification is required; ARMRIT accepted only if ARRT(MR) is also held
• ARRT MRI certification is preferred
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers required
• State of Washington Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable
• IV placement skills required
• Experience with Epic EMR and Sectra PACS preferred
• Must provide two professional references, including one supervisor from the past 12 months and a peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
• CV, driver’s license copy, and active certifications must be submitted for consideration
