Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist experienced with high-risk OB and perinatal sonography, with ARDMS, CCI, and NT certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a consultative maternal fetal medicine practice supporting the OB floor and providing high-risk OB sonography services
• Patient population includes neonates and adults with a focus on high-risk pregnancies
• Average daily census of 44 and 6 procedure rooms
• Sonography duties include NT, detailed scans of multiples, cardiology exams, and amniocentesis
• Practice open 4 days a week, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with Friday on-call scanning at the nearby hospital as directed
• Every other weekend coverage required unless otherwise specified
• Float to other locations within scope as needed, including Midtown and North facilities
• Uses Epic and GE Viewpoint EMR systems
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed; no time off during first assignment week
• Candidates must be able to float within the facility and to nearby locations as needed
• Must wear black scrubs
• Travelers may be required to work holidays based on assignment period; specific holiday coverage rules apply
• Full compliance with orientation and onboarding required to start on time; orientation schedule is bi-weekly
• Perm/PRN candidates must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler
• Travel pairs are not permitted to work the same shift on the same unit
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Locals are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• ARDMS, CCI, and NT certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of ultrasound experience
• Experience with high-risk OB and perinatal sonography
• Ability to perform amniocentesis and detailed scans for multiples
• References from two supervisory managers or above required for consideration
• License required if applicable
