Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital assignment, requiring at least one year of experience and welcoming first-time travelers.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• Required to work one weekend per month
• No call requirement
• Floating may be required within facility and scope of practice
• Contract length is 14 weeks
• Main responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of patients in an acute care hospital environment
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Must be fully compliant by start date; late compliance results in a two-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Must be willing to work any major holidays falling within assignment as outlined by facility rules
• Return travelers must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year to be eligible to return
• Travel pairs are not permitted to be scheduled on the same shift and unit
• Maximum of 7 days requested time off is allowed; no RTO during the first week of assignment

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year recent physical therapy experience
• Current state license required if applicable
• Ability to float within facility as needed
• Two supervisory references from a manager or above required for consideration
