Job Description
American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with ASHA certification and 2+ years of experience for an inpatient rehab assignment with emergency response duties.
Responsibilities
- Position is in an inpatient rehabilitation unit within an academic medical center
- Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Day shift with five 8-hour shifts per week
- No local travelers accepted; candidates must live at least 65 miles away
- May be assigned to an Emergency Team during critical events and required to stay at facility as needed
- Unit accepts first-time travelers
- Emergency response responsibilities may require staying onsite or assisting as part of a relief team
- Requested time off (RTO) must be included in your profile and discussed during the interview
- All certifications must be AHA approved
Requirements
- Current Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA)
- Active Louisiana SLP license required; allow 3-4 weeks for processing if needed
- Minimum of 2 years of SLP experience
- Modified Barium Swallow Study certification preferred
- License required if applicable
