Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with ARDMS or CCI RCS certification, BLS, and experience in advanced cardiac imaging and acute care.

Responsibilities

• Work in an adult acute care setting with exposure to adult outpatient, ER, and ICU environments
• Duties include 2-D and 3-D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, imaging with contrast agents, pharmacologic and treadmill stress echoes, and transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE)
• Perform Simpson’s Rule, Diastology, LV Strain/LV Volume assessments, and proximal isovelocity surface area calculations
• Utilizes EPIC EMR; prior experience required
• 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Responsibilities include performing high complexity cardiac sonography, including advanced echocardiographic studies and support for ER and ICU patients
• Prepares for and assists with stress echo and TEE procedures
• No study materials will be provided for the EKG exam, so candidates should prepare independently
• A zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences is strictly enforced
• Professional attire or scrubs may be required per facility policy

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year recent experience as an Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer; 2+ years preferred
• ARDMS or CCI RCS certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience in adult acute care, adult outpatient, ER, and ICU settings required
• Experience with EPIC EMR is mandatory
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Testing requirement: Must pass a pass/fail EKG exam during compliance with two attempts allowed
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• License required if applicable
