Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a weekend night shift assignment, requiring current ARRT or ARMRIT registration, GE and Siemens scanner experience, and expertise with pediatric and conditional implant cases.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital MRI department with three wide bore scanners: GE Architect 3T, GE Artist 1.5T, and Siemens Sola 1.5T
• Handles all age groups from infants to geriatrics
• Conducts MRI exams on patients with conditional implants, including MR conditional pacemakers, ICDs, and stimulators
• Performs scans involving anesthesia, pediatric sedation, ventilated ICU patients, and general pediatric patients (non-sedated)
• Night shift schedule: Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (3x12s)
• Department operates 24/7 with varied 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts
• Backup call on third shift is required
• Holiday rotation is expected
• EPIC EMR required for all charting
• Performs a diverse range of MRI examinations on varied patient populations
• Responsible for following all safety protocols for scanning conditional implants
• Backup call coverage required in case of call outs or high volume
• Must be able to manipulate scanning parameters to meet conditional device requirements
• Holiday coverage and rotating weekend shifts are required

Requirements

• Valid ARRT or ARMRIT registration in MRI is required
• Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience
• Experience with GE and Siemens MRI scanners is required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR is required
• Must be skilled in scanning conditional devices using SAR and/or B1+RMS guidance
• Experience with pediatric sedation, anesthesia, and ventilated ICU patients is required
• Must have experience in a similar size and function acute care facility
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility
• First-time travelers are welcome
• License required if applicable
