Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring PICU experience and the ability to float to NICU and Peds units.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of a hospital setting
  • Patient population includes those with respiratory distress/failure, DKA, seizures, and requiring pain management
  • Perform moderate sedation, manage drips, arterial lines, and central lines/CVP
  • Rotating shift with day (3x12 hrs, 7:00-19:00) and night (3x12 hrs, 19:30-7:30) schedules
  • Must be able to float to NICU and Pediatric units as needed
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Provide critical care nursing for pediatric patients with acute and complex conditions
  • Team members expected to manage advanced therapies and monitoring modalities
  • Two professional references are required for consideration

Requirements

  • Active MD or Compact RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years of PICU nursing experience
  • Current BCLS and PALS certifications required
