Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiology EP PACU position in Massachusetts requiring an active MA RN license and advanced cardiac care knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a high-acuity Cardiology EP Lab PACU setting
- Cares for adult, elderly, and critically ill cardiac patients
- Involves interventional procedures for acute cardiac, circulatory, and respiratory emergencies
- Uses advanced cardiac diagnostic and mapping systems
- Epic EMR charting experience used
- Day shift schedule from 07:00 to 19:30
- Fast-paced, high-volume environment with frequent exposure to emergency situations
- Responsibilities include fostering patient care continuity, facilitating information flow among staff, and maintaining all documentation and billing standards
- Expected to adhere to radiation safety and infection control protocols
- Will contribute to department projects, research, quality improvement, and occasional orientation of new staff
- Flu vaccine is required with no exemptions permitted
- Local candidates must have a permanent address at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard rates
- Parking is not validated and public parking may incur daily costs
- High degree of teamwork and collaboration is expected in this environment
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of consideration; MA conditional licenses not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of recent critical care nursing experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only) required
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
- Proficiency with Epic EMR and advanced cardiac monitoring equipment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and computer skills necessary
- Physical ability to lift and position patients and equipment as needed
- Must be able to work productively in emergency code situations
