Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with recent high-volume ED experience and strong triage skills for a night shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a busy Emergency Department setting
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am
• Patient ratio is 1:4
• Assignment requires handling patient volumes of at least 125 patients per day
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Floating within skillset as needed
• Must possess expert prioritization and organizational skills for managing a fast-paced ER environment
• Will perform IV starts and phlebotomy as needed
• Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted
• Every other weekend and holiday shifts required

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ED nursing experience
• Must have worked in an ED setting seeing at least 125 patients per day within the past 8 months
• Travel RN experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Successful completion of the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Triage experience required
• Experience with IV starts and phlebotomy required
