Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg position requiring at least 2 years of acute care experience and Epic EMR proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Clinical Support Unit on a Med/Surg unit within an acute care hospital
- Night shifts from 7p-7a with 12-hour shift length
- Weekend shifts as needed
- Floating to other locations within the facility required
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
- Orientation includes 24 hours of onboarding
- No blocked scheduling or special scheduling requests allowed
- Travelers who were previously permanent employees must have a one-year separation before eligibility for travel contracts
- Weekend and holiday coverage may be required as per unit needs
- Floating support and teamwork expected in a dynamic clinical support environment
Requirements
- Active ID or compact RN license required and must be current at consideration
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience in an acute care setting
- Epic EMR experience required or strongly preferred
- Submission must include a copy of driver's license
- Two professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
- No local candidates within a 50-mile radius eligible
