Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg position requiring at least 2 years of acute care experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Clinical Support Unit on a Med/Surg unit within an acute care hospital
• Night shifts from 7p-7a with 12-hour shift length
• Weekend shifts as needed
• Floating to other locations within the facility required
• Uses Epic EMR for charting
• Orientation includes 24 hours of onboarding
• No blocked scheduling or special scheduling requests allowed
• Travelers who were previously permanent employees must have a one-year separation before eligibility for travel contracts
• Weekend and holiday coverage may be required as per unit needs
• Floating support and teamwork expected in a dynamic clinical support environment

Requirements

• Active ID or compact RN license required and must be current at consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience in an acute care setting
• Epic EMR experience required or strongly preferred
• Submission must include a copy of driver's license
• Two professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius eligible
