Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Cardiac Renal unit position in Illinois requiring 4+ years' acute care Med/Surg and Telemetry experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in an inpatient Cardiac Renal Medical-Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes heart failure and renal failure patients with a high dialysis caseload
• Shift is 12-hour nights, 7:00pm–7:30am, with a Sunday through Saturday work week
• Every other weekend required
• Must be available for 2 of 3 major holidays if needed
• No call required
• May float to other Medical-Surgical units as census warrants
• Utilizes the Epic EMR; proficiency and ability to test out are required
• Unit cares primarily for heart failure and renal failure patients, including a high volume of dialysis cases
• Orientation includes 6 hours with Epic test out on day shift
• Dress code is royal blue scrubs with no healthcare entity branding other than Endeavor
• No call or on-call responsibilities required
• Must be prepared to work independently and as part of a unit team

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license required
• Current ACLS and CPR certifications required
• A minimum of 4 years of Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience in an acute care facility required
• Familiarity with cardiac drips and diuretic drips is highly preferred
• Proficient in Epic EMR and able to test out successfully
