Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry float pool position requiring an active NH or Compact RN license and strong acute care background.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Nursing Float Pool serving Med/Surg Telemetry units
• Staff float between multiple hospital locations based on need
• Patient population includes Med/Surg and telemetry cases
• 12-hour day shifts with every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Cerner EMR experience is preferred but not required
• Assignment length is 13 to 26 weeks
• RNs may float between Laconia, Franklin, and potentially Concord Main locations
• First time travelers with strong acute care experience will be considered
• Weekly orientation provided at the start of the assignment
• Permanent staff may return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
• Accepts local candidates within a 50-mile radius at a local pay rate
• Requested time off must be submitted at the time of application

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required at time of consideration; temporary licenses are not accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in Med/Surg Telemetry
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must pass a Dysrhythmia Exam with a score of 80% or higher during onboarding
• Experience with Cardizem and insulin drips required; experience with phenobarbital on telemetry preferred
• Three professional references required, including two from leadership
