Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with ARDMS and BLS certification to perform general and vascular ultrasound procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an ultrasonography department focusing on general and vascular ultrasound procedures, excluding ABIs, segmental pressure studies, echo, and breast ultrasound
  • Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
  • Serves a range of patient populations per physician specification
  • Uses Epic for EMR and charting
  • Responsibilities include performing ultrasound procedures, patient positioning, equipment operation, and submitting images for interpretation
  • Expected to practice sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention policies
  • Must evaluate image quality and ensure timely, accurate communication with the care team
  • Permanent staff must have a one-year separation from any prior employment at the facility to be eligible
  • Candidates must provide date of birth and last four digits of SSN for consideration

Requirements

  • Current ARDMS registry required
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
  • Active state license required if applicable
  • Minimum of 2 years ultrasound experience, with at least 1 year in the specific specialty
  • Associate’s Degree required
  • Proficiency in general and vascular ultrasound procedures (excluding ABIs and segmental pressure)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
