Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with at least 1 year of specialty experience and ARDMS certification for a day shift position.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an ultrasonography department performing general and vascular ultrasound exams, excluding ABIs and segmental pressure studies
  • No echo or breast ultrasound procedures required
  • Day shifts, 10 hours per shift, 4 days per week
  • Uses Epic EMR for charting
  • Responsibilities include operation of all ultrasound equipment, patient positioning, and ensuring image quality
  • Must coordinate exams for timely, quality patient care and submit images to interpreting Radiologist
  • Adhere to sterile technique and infection prevention policies
  • Previous permanent staff must have been separated from any related facility for at least one year before eligibility for travel assignments
  • 2 weeks may be required for background check and drug screening results; candidates should report to the lab within 24 hours of commitment

Requirements

  • Active ARDMS certification required
  • Current AHA BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in ultrasound specialty is required
  • Associate’s Degree required
  • Experience with general and vascular sonography procedures
  • Ability to effectively communicate within a multi-functional healthcare team
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • License required if applicable
