Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring an OH or compact license and EPIC experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
• Shift is three 12-hour days, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Floating required to NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and medical-surgical units as needed
• Patient population includes critically ill pediatric patients
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Primary responsibilities include delivering critical care to pediatric patients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Floating to multiple units is a key requirement and assignments will be appropriate for skill set
• First-time travelers will be considered on a case-by-case basis
• No special scheduling requests such as block scheduling will be accommodated
• Strict attendance and punctuality expectations are enforced

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 2 years PICU experience highly preferred
• EPIC experience required
• Must provide 2 supervisory references for consideration, at least one from a manager or supervisor
• First-time travelers typically need more than 3 years of experience and Level 1 Trauma experience
• Not eligible if employed in a permanent position at the facility within the last 2 years
• Local candidates not accepted; must live more than 60 miles from the facility
