Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist with at least one year of inpatient experience and current ARDMS or CCI registration.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based setting with both inpatient and outpatient schedules
- Average caseload of 8-10 studies per day across all age groups
- Procedures performed include TEE, TTE, and stress echo, as well as colorflow and diafleur
- Equipment used includes GE VE95 ultrasound machines
- Outpatient work is Monday through Friday; inpatient coverage includes weekends
- Day shift schedule: 4x10 hour or 5x8 hour shifts
- One week of call, including a weekend, required every 5-6 weeks
- Position involves performing transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography exams
- Candidate may administer imaging enhancement agents per department policy
- Patient population includes pediatric and adult patients
- Pediatric and travel experience preferred but not required
- Documentation and preliminary reporting required in hospital EMR
- Strong communication with referring physicians and clinical staff expected
- Team environment adhering to established protocols and safety standards
- Day-1 EKG competency testing with study guides provided
- Scrubs or dress code not specified
Requirements
- Current ARDMS or CCI registration required
- Minimum one year of inpatient Echo Technologist experience required
- BLS certification required
- Experience with TEE, TTE, stress echoes, colorflow, and diafleur required
- No local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered
- Pass/fail EKG testing required on first day with two attempts permitted
- License required if applicable
