Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist with ARDMS or CCI registration and at least one year of inpatient experience to perform a variety of cardiac ultrasound exams.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital setting with both inpatient and outpatient schedules
  • Average daily caseload of 8-10 cases covering all ages
  • Day shifts available with 4x10 or 5x8 hour schedules
  • On-call required for one week every 5-6 weeks, including a weekend in that period
  • Outpatient work Monday through Friday; inpatient only on weekends
  • Equipment used includes GE VE95 ultrasound systems
  • Conduct transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography exams according to protocols
  • Prepare patients for procedures and provide clear instructions to minimize anxiety
  • Administer imaging enhancement agents as per department policies
  • Access and update patient records using hospital EMR
  • Must pass EKG testing on the first day of assignment, with two attempts permitted and study guides provided
  • Compliance with infection control, safety standards, and patient confidentiality is required
  • No candidates will be considered if residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility

Requirements

  • Current ARDMS or CCI registry required; license required if applicable
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum of one year of inpatient Echo Tech experience required
  • Experience performing TEEs, TTEs, Stress ECHOs, colorflow, and diafleur required
  • Pediatric echo experience preferred
  • Previous travel experience preferred
