Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring a NC or compact RN license and at least one year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg unit on the 4th Floor
• Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00pm - 7:00am
• Patient population includes a range of medical and surgical cases
• Deliver patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process in coordination with the interdisciplinary team
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing as needed for the patient care plan
• Engage in patient and family education, including assessing readiness and learning needs
• Participate in unit goals, performance improvement, and promoting a safe hospital environment
• Must report to the lab for drug screening within 24 hours of committing to the assignment
• Orientation and background check requirements may affect start date timing

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license
• Minimum one year of nursing experience
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC)
