Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of recent experience in cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology for day shifts and on-call assignments.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based cardiac catheterization laboratory
• Primary responsibilities include support for STEMI cases, vascular emergencies, pacemaker insertions, Impella and balloon pump insertions
• Role involves both cardiac and neuro interventional radiology cases
• Circulating experience required in the Cath Lab
• Work schedule is 5x8 hour day shifts starting between 6:00–8:00 am, with latest non-call end time at 5–6 pm
• On-call schedule is 24/7 for 7 days on, 7 days off
• Care is provided for a diverse patient population across all age groups
• Technologist reports to the Cath Lab supervisor and works under the guidance of the catheterization laboratory team
• Performs a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions in the Cath Lab, including cardiac and interventional radiology procedures
• First-time travelers are accepted for this contract
• The work environment serves a high Spanish-speaking population, with translator staff available for support
• A reference from a supervisor is required
• All requested time off must be included in the initial application for consideration
• Modules must be completed before starting and are not billable work hours
• Applicants must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Disclosure of any prior legal action is required at time of application

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, or neuro intervention
• Experience supporting STEMI cases, vascular emergencies, and device insertions required
• Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) credential required
• Associate's degree in applied science from an accredited radiology or cardiovascular technology program required
• Current CPR certification required
• ARRT credential preferred
• Must have at least 1 year of acute care hospital experience
• Circulating experience in the Cath Lab required
• Will accept pending TX license or multi-state license if applicable
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
