Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift position requiring a PA or compact license and at least two years of recent ED experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• 36-hour night shifts, including two shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am and one shift from 9:00 pm to 9:00 am
• Every other weekend rotation is required
• May occasionally float to a nearby campus as needed
• 13-week assignment
• Modules and orientation must be completed per facility guidelines
• Must complete required lab work within 48 hours of offer acceptance
• RTO (requested time off) must be declared prior to consideration; no additional RTO will be accepted after assignment is confirmed
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered, with a different pay rate
• Scrubs or dress code requirements not specified

Requirements

• Active PA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Current certifications relevant to the role must be provided
• PA fingerprints required if not completed in the last 5 years
• Pass/Fail exam must be successfully completed prior to starting; only three attempts allowed
• Professional references from supervisors within the past 2 years required
