Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) travel position requiring a NY RN license, Epic EMR experience, and recent specialty expertise.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) within a critical care float pool
• Hospital setting with shifts from 07:00 to 19:00
• Experience with Epic EMR is required for all candidates
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Patient ratio and types of cases are consistent with high-acuity CVICU care
• Competency testing for ICU required with up to two attempts permitted
• More than three call outs in a 13-week period will result in contract termination, with make-up shifts to be completed within six weeks
• RTO (Requested Time Off) must be submitted at the time of application
• No local candidates are accepted from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties within a 50-mile radius
• Only medical exemptions for flu vaccination are permitted; personal or religious declinations are not accepted

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience is required
• Current certifications from AHA or RQI are mandatory
• Epic EMR experience is required
• No work history gaps of 90 days or more within the last 12 months
• Candidates must provide a US Social Security Number for verification
• Medical exemption for flu vaccination must be signed by a licensed professional
• Travel pairs are not allowed and only one submission per traveler is accepted
