Job Description

American Traveler seeks a Physical Therapist for a primarily outpatient orthopedic role with occasional inpatient and swing bed responsibilities, requiring active NE licensure and current BLS.

Responsibilities

• Primarily outpatient orthopedic caseload with additional inpatient and swing bed therapies
• Works under the supervision of the Rehab Services Director
• Full-time, day shift schedule from Monday to Friday
• Works mainly in a climate-controlled indoor environment with occasional outdoor duties
• Limited on-call rooms available upon request
• Responsible for planning, evaluating, and administering rehabilitation treatment programs in coordination with medical staff
• Documents and reports on patient progress, maintaining accurate records and charts
• Educates patients and their families on support and exercise programs
• Directs and supports assistants and other qualified staff as needed
• Responsible for maintaining department cleanliness and equipment functionality
• Must adhere to HIPAA and organizational compliance and participate in training programs
• May need to research local motel or hotel housing due to limited local availability

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required
• Current and valid Nebraska PT licensure or PT Compact license required; license required if applicable
• Active BLS/BCLS certification required
• Experience in physical therapy preferred but not required
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Strong motor coordination, strength, and physical ability to perform job duties
