Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery night shift position in California requiring a CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit
• Care for laboring mothers, delivered mothers, and newborns
• Night shift with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Position is a 13-week contract assignment
• Must be comfortable caring for both mothers and newborns
• Responsibilities include caring for mothers throughout labor and immediate postpartum, as well as caring for newborns
• Must be able to effectively manage both maternal and neonatal care
• Required to complete orientation modules online, with duration based on specialty
• Return staff must have been gone for at least one year to be eligible
• Only one holiday time-off will be approved during assignment
• Locals are accepted at a different pay rate
• Information about background history should be disclosed prior to consideration

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP (provider) certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience required
• Must provide two professional references obtained within the last year
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
