Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg day shift position caring for complex neuro trauma and surgical patients with Epic experience required.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Med/Surg unit specializing in spinal, neuro trauma, surgical, and gunshot wound patients
- Patients include those with spinal cord injuries, quadriplegia, and paraplegia
- Day shifts are 12 hours in length, with 3 shifts per week
- No on-call required
- Utilizes Epic for EMR documentation; prior Epic experience required
- Responsible for providing nursing care to complex neuro trauma and surgical patients with diverse acuity
- No RTO (requested time off) will be approved during contract
- A badge-appropriate photo is required for onboarding
- Must have skills checklist relevant to Med/Surg specialty
- Candidate demographic information must be complete for consideration
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg specialty
- Current certifications must be provided
- Experience documenting in Epic EMR required
- Full work history with no employment gaps over 60 days must be supplied
- At least 2 references from supervisors or managers in similar specialties within the last 2 years
