Job Description

American Traveler seeks a Physical Therapist for an outpatient role with experience in direct patient care and supervising PT assistants.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient physical therapy clinic setting
• Scheduled day shifts: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Role includes evaluating and treating patients through physician referrals or direct access
• Involves supervising PT assistants and technicians according to plan of care
• Use of various modalities, exercise equipment, and functional testing such as WorkSTEPS or APET
• Responsibilities include evaluations, supervision of assistants, and performing ergonomic and work capacity assessments
• May be required to participate in post-offer testing, work hardening, and community events
• Responsible for updating rehab nurses and maintaining communication with referring physicians
• Professional attitude and ability to communicate with patients, doctors, industry representatives, and case managers are essential
• Assists with marketing initiatives and business development when possible
• May be asked to perform duties outside the standard scope as needed
• Scrubs or professional attire required

Requirements

• Current Physical Therapist license in good standing required if applicable
• Must meet state licensure requirements for physical therapy practice
• Required to maintain all ongoing licensure and liability coverage
• Competency in physical therapy modalities and exercise equipment use
