Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level 2 Trauma Center, requiring both circulating and scrubbing experience along with robotic and ENT skills.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Operating Room of a Level 2 Trauma Center
• Handles all OR specialties except open heart cases
• Required to circulate and scrub during surgical procedures
• Robotic, ENT, ortho, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro cases are involved
• Day shift schedule (4x10 hour shifts), 11:00 to 21:30
• On-call required two times per schedule
• EMR system used is Epic; prior experience preferred
• Scrubs are provided
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing in diverse surgical specialties
• Team-based environment with support from clinical and surgical staff
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Background and license must be clear of open or active issues to be eligible for this position

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care operating room experience
• Experience with robotic and ENT procedures required
• Experience in ortho, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro surgery is required
• Must be able to perform both circulating and scrubbing roles during surgeries
• No current permanent or PRN employment within specified health system for at least 1 year prior to applying
