Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Vascular Sonographer with 2+ years of dedicated vascular ultrasound experience and current ARDMS RVT or CCI RVS certification.

Responsibilities

Work in a combined outpatient and inpatient vascular clinic serving all ages
Average caseload of 8-12 vascular ultrasound patients per day
Day shift schedule from 08:00 to 16:30, rotating weekends with a day off on Thursday when working a weekend
Float to High Point outpatient-only lab as needed
No call requirements
Use of EPIC EMR and VascuPro reporting system
Department uses Philips Epic Elite and Parks PVR/Segmental Pressures machines
Department culture is traveler friendly and teamwork oriented
Holiday coverage required on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day only
Perform vascular ultrasound exams for a variety of conditions including PVD, CAD, heart failure, stroke, venous insufficiency, renal and celiac stenosis, renal transplant, and thoracic outlet syndrome
Work collaboratively with department leadership and peers
3-day departmental orientation provided
Must wear black scrubs
Free parking available
RTO must be approved prior to contract acceptance, otherwise 4 weeks’ notice required

Requirements

Current BLS certification required
Registered Vascular Technologist (ARDMS RVT) or Registered Vascular Sonographer (CCI RVS) required
Minimum 2 years of dedicated vascular ultrasound experience
EPIC EMR experience required
Experience with vascular procedures including carotid, upper/lower arterial/venous, DVT/Reflux, vein mapping, renal and mesenteric studies, AAA, endograft, and bypass graft assessments
First-time travelers will be considered
License required if applicable
