Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position requiring a NY RN license, BLS, ACLS, and immunotherapy and chemotherapy certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Oncology unit
• Care for oncology patients with potential for immunotherapy and chemotherapy administration
• May float to Med/Surg districts and surge areas as required
• Night shift position from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Alternating weekend shifts required
• Provide comprehensive care for oncology patients requiring chemo and immunotherapy
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic setting
• Testing and educational modules must be completed prior to assignment start
• Two recent positive professional references in the specialty required for consideration
• Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a reduced rate
• Returning employees are subject to an eligibility review process

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Current AHA certifications in BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology or med/surg nursing
• Immunotherapy and chemotherapy certification required
• Oncology nursing certification preferred
