Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with a CO or compact license for a 12-week night shift Med/Surg Orthopedics position requiring at least one year of specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Work on the Orthopedics Acute unit in a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week, for a 12-week contract
• Patient population includes orthopedic medical-surgical cases
• Uses Epic for charting and documentation; Epic experience required
• May be required to float to other departments based on business needs
• Potential for on-call hours during scheduled shifts
• Independently performs assessments, develops and evaluates nursing care plans, and manages therapy and treatment plans for orthopedic patients
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals for patient care and consults as needed
• Supports hospital's mission and adheres to established service standards
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for a travel assignment
• Must comply with testing requirements and be prepared to complete background check and drug screen promptly upon offer
• First-time travelers may be considered

Requirements

• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state required at time of consideration
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (ASN required; BSN preferred)
• American Heart Association BLS certification required, must be valid through assignment
• At least one year of recent experience in Med/Surg Orthopedics required
• Epic EMR experience required
