Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg/Telemetry night shift position in Iowa with Epic EMR experience and every other weekend required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med Surg/Telemetry unit
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts per week
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating may be required within the same discipline across local campuses
• Electronic medical records managed with Epic; experience preferred
• Participate as an integral member of an interdisciplinary care team
• Orientation includes 16 hours of training
• Holiday coverage required for 2 out of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
• Limited to one day of time off requested between 11/26–11/30 and 12/23–1/2
• Prior employees of the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible

Requirements

• Active IA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry RN experience
• At least 1 completed travel contract required
• Certifications required: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• All licenses and certifications must be active at the time of consideration
