Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position in Michigan with night shifts and holiday coverage requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work in a telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts, three days per week
• Required to work every other weekend
• Holiday coverage is required
• Floating is required to other telemetry units (CSU, 3 South, 4 South) and Med Surg units (3 West, 4 West, IPR)
• Uses Paragon EMR (experience highly preferred)
• No on-call responsibilities
• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
• Must coordinate and delegate care within a multidisciplinary team
• Strict 3 strike attendance policy—termination after three absences or late arrivals without acceptable cause
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be considered
• Physical copies of certifications required for consideration
• Candidates with negative background or employment history are subject to extended review

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Minimum of 3 years of recent nursing experience required
• Completion of at least one prior travel assignment required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Experience with Paragon EMR highly preferred
• Skills checklist for RN specialties completed within one year required
• Not eligible if employed full-time by McLaren within the last six months
