Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg/Telemetry night shift position in Iowa, requiring recent travel nursing experience and active compact or IA RN license.

Responsibilities

Med Surg/Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
Night shifts, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Floating to other Med Surg areas is required
Every other weekend is a scheduled work requirement
Epic EMR system is used
Travelers must be willing to float to other Med Surg units as needed
Must work 2 out of 3 major winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
Only 1 day off request allowed between 11/26–11/30 and 12/23–1/2 for all travelers
Orientation is up to 16 hours
First-time travelers are not eligible for this position

Requirements

Active IA or compact RN license at time of consideration
BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
At least 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry RN experience required
At least 1 completed travel nursing contract required
Supervisory reference from within the past 2 years required
