Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Inpatient Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of inpatient experience and a doctorate for a weekday-day shift role.

Responsibilities

Inpatient hospital setting
Day shifts, Monday through Friday, and every other Saturday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
32-hour work week
Participation in a holiday rotation is required, with coverage of two major holiday weekends each year
No on-call requirements
Rehabilitation equipment utilized includes splints, orthoses, prostheses, wheelchairs, ADL equipment, and modalities
Strong preference for candidates with Meditech Expanse EMR experience
Responsibilities include direct patient care and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team for patient care planning
Orientation consists of 8 hours and is non-billable
Travelers must work two of the following holiday periods: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's and their associated weekends
Extensions will not be considered for assignments ending before or during the holiday season in December
No shift accommodation requests (such as block scheduling or extended shifts) will be considered
Local travelers within 50 miles are not eligible for this position

Requirements

Doctorate in Physical Therapy required
Minimum of 2 years of current inpatient physical therapy experience required
Current BLS certification (AHA) required
Active Massachusetts PT license required if applicable
Meditech Expanse EMR experience strongly preferred
Must have own vehicle for transportation to and from assignment
Perm address must not be within 50 miles of the facility
Maximum of 5 days of requested time off will be considered
