Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg/Telemetry PCU night shift position requiring a NH or compact license and strong cardiac monitoring experience.

Responsibilities

Work in a small, rural Med Surg/Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit setting
Patient population ranges from newborn to geriatric
RN to patient ratios are typically 5:1, with higher acuity PCU patients at 3:1 or 4:1
12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
Every other weekend and holiday coverage are required
No on-call responsibilities
RN is expected to work one of the specified holiday sets (Christmas Eve/Day and following weekend, or New Year’s Eve/Day and following weekend)
Facility will not consider extensions for contracts ending prior to or during the December holiday period
Maximum of 5 days off may be requested for a 13-week assignment, all time off must be requested at time of consideration
Personal scrubs of any color are permitted
No orientation is provided for this assignment
Scheduling accommodations or block scheduling requests will not be approved

Requirements

Active New Hampshire or Compact RN license must be in hand at time of consideration
Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications are required
Minimum 3 years of recent PCU, Med/Surg, and Telemetry experience required
Demonstrated cardiac monitoring and tele experience required
Must pass a basic dysrhythmia test
Previous travel and rural/small facility experience highly preferred
Must be able to work independently and adapt quickly
Personal vehicle required for assignment
Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
